We felt it way up North in Quebec... 06:55. Actually, it's the Cats "Clawing" at me that woke me up! :-) You know what that means?? Hide the Porcelain! LOL Anik

Well, if memory serves. There's a tiny Fault line that follows the Eastern coast. Maine & Montreal are not that far apart... An earthquake of 3(Richter scale) can be felt for over 1000 KMs... But, you know! This felt more like an aftershock. It was too steady. Anyhow, Hope it's nothing more then Mother Nature! For there are worst things then her tantrums. Anik

posersnet, you should report this directly to CL. it's a serious bug and can definitly damage your hardware (and even your house) ;) seriously, glad it was a small one...

How weird, I was working on the computer and my moniter started to shake, I thought it was my eyes going....we are in Upstate NY, about 300 miles away from Albany....weird. Sharen

Associated Press reported a moderate quake centered 17 miles east of Plattsburgh, NY registering 5.1 on the Richter scale. I know my computer doesn't generate that much energy! Only when trying to render 2 Vickies, Stephanie and Jim Burton's San Francisco Hair (times three) Glad I didn't cause this one.

The AP report: "An earthquake felt from Maine to Pennsylvania rattled the Northeast Saturday morning with a preliminary magnitude measured at 5.1, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The earthquake hit just before 7 a.m. and was centered about 15 miles southwest of Plattsburgh, in northern New York near the Vermont and Canadian borders. The USGS National Earthquake Information Center reported the earthquake occurred at a depth of about 5 kilometers." I thought the Canadians "might" be responsible... we've been watching you folks for a while near Lake George ya know?... but I guess you're off the hook... this time Anik. ;)

Well, I'm on Long Island and I felt it down here. :/ Earthquakes worry us here! We live on a big pile of sand surrounded by water. It shakes enough and we will be sinking in a big mud pile. :(

I felt the earthquake at work. I am located where the right hand point on the star is. Just across the lake from Plattsburg. Probably just knocked over a few cows ;) smerc

We never get any fun things like earthquakes in England... you hear reports of very small tremors, but nothing major. I suppose I should be glad though :)

Wow, this is so weird. Just Thursday we had 5 tornados touch down in Wisconsin (with a few others that didn't make it to the ground) and today there's an earthquake in New York. What is going on? I hope everyone on the coast is ok. back to the regularly scheduled rendering

Well, it was my first earthquake, and although I was glad no one was hurt badly, and there wasn't that much damage, it sure was a hoot.....I know it sounds bad, some people have suffered so in earthquakes. Amazing what weather can do. Sharen

I live in Northern California (earth quake country) I think buildings here have shock absorbers... It's mandatory...

I slept right through it. And so did my dog. So it couldn't have been all that bad. :-)

I was at a friends house in NJ - just getting to sleep. Honestly, I thought it was them in the next room banging the bed up against the wall (both weigh over 300 lbs) I'm not sure which is scarier! (and sorry for gifting you all which that visiual!) Lyrra
