Subject: Does Poser3 have a scrolling dial stack?

I got a question from a Poser 3 user asking, since the P3 woman has the same head as the P4 woman, if they can get my P4FemMagic and transfer the morphs over with MorphManager, to use in P3. I dug up my copy of Poser 3 and installed it on my PC. Successfully moved over the 90 morphs, bringing the total number of dials to a bit over 100, but it locked Poser loading. Remembered the patch, installed, and the P3Fem figure opens - but I can only access the first 14 dials, no scroll bar. When I apply the various DialMagic poses, I get different dials (nose, eyes, speech, etc), but only the first 14. I've used Poser since version 1, so can't trust my memory about the specifics of 3, but I'm sure I used more morphs than that on figures. The P3 manual does have a pic of the dial stack - with no scroll bar, but that might be pre-patch. Does anyone know what's the skinny on this?

Erm.. Newbie Poser 3 user here (mag coverdisk, waiting until payday to get poser 4 upgrade) I had issues with the amount of dial, bit I found that if move the cursor over the title of the top dial (for example OpenLips on the Poser 3 people's head) the cursor becomes a hand. Click and hold the left mouse button and move it up and down to scroll through the dials. If there are more "hidden" dial below the current ones the bottom border seems to have little "bumps" on it that go away when you have reached the last one. Works on mine anyway. Hope this helps.

heyas; yes, instead of a scroll bar thingy at the side like p4 has, you need to grab between dials and drag the stack up and down. just remember that p3 has a limit on how many morphs you can have on a body part. (i think it was 99?)

Ah-ha, how quickly we forget! Thanks MrWibble, the hand thing sounds familiar (Welcome to Poser. You can learn a lot with P3 - but you're going to LOVE transparency in P4. The jump in realism is amazing.) Bloodsong, I do remember a limit on dials now, and fear you're right about the 99. I'll have to see if I can cut out about 20 morph dials and see how it works. Trouble is I use them all in the face files - which of my pets do I heartlessly toss overboard? Thanks again - Elisa/gryffnn
