Subject: ok, what the heck's wrong with uvmapper? :/

I just downloaded the "supermapper" zip from the Freestuff Utilities gallery, and - as before - it keeps crashing on me shortly after I close it. The uvmapper.EXE file causes an "invalid page fault" error window to appear, and it takes at least 6 clicks of OK before the window finally closes! This happens every time I load a OBJ file into it. I'm able to use the program, save a template, but its just closing the damn thing that's doing my head in! :) Also, if you see my the pic, it often causes anomalous lines to appear on templates, once the template is created. Anyone else having these problems or is it just me? BTW: I'm using win98Se, no major problems. Joeblack

The program you downloaded is not UVMapper, it's supermapper by Clive Pygott. The executable name is not uvmapper.EXE, it's uvmapst.exe, and it's over two years old at this point. You may want to check out UVMapper which is available for free (both Windows and Macintoh version) from UVMapper.com Let me know if you have problems and I'll do what I can to help. Good luck, Steve
