Subject: Walk Designer will not open - HELP!

MaterialForge ( ) posted Mon, 22 April 2002 at 11:03 AM ยท edited Thu, 23 January 2025 at 8:31 PM

the Walk Designer will not open, it is looking for the Poser 2 male lo-res figure or its geometry file. I had removed all the figures and poses, etc. that I wasn't using for my project, I thought they wouldn't be needed. BIG mistake. I have placed the P2 male figure and the obj back in the directories (I was smart enough to back this stuff up), but it still gives me the error. Is there a way to make this work without having to reinstall Poser all over again? Thanks!

have you tried deleting the rsr file for the p2 male? that could be the problem

I once made that error also
and couldnt use walk designer
i put a geometry of a different alterd version of the p2 male and still no GO
but one of the propack service releases
somehow fixed it and accepted this replacement geometry.

I wish my Poser Walk Designer would die, then I could stop the futile tilting at that particular windmill and get on with my life! :) BTW, you can tell Poser which figure to use for default for the heinous thing, by editing the walkDesignerFigure in your Runtime/figures folder. Regards- Lemurtek, haaaatteees the walk designer, hates it!

It s only good for generating simple
walks that you can Clean up and fix in the graph editor
