Hey you guys I keep getting this error message while importing Daz3d Hog (check pic above). I got the message before while importing the Ferrari F50 and I found out that it was the car seats so I didn't import those straight in Bryce and exported them separetely from Poser 4 to 3D Studio Max (as 3ds file) and then from there in Bryce 5 and it worked! But the problem with that part is when I import something from 3D Studio Max to Bryce 5 it doesn't look good - even after I render it I can see the polygons on the imported figure :( And also I discovered that the problem with the Hog bike is the body! So what does this error message mean? Is there a way to import without getting that message and without having to involve 3D Studio Max? Oh yeah and another thing. When I move figures from Poser 4 to Bryce 5 I export them as Wavefront objects. Is there a plugin to import PZ3 files in Bryce 5 instead?

No plug-in to import PZ3 into Bryce. If your imports look like you can see the polygons ( after rendering ) try using the smooth options E icon. I've heard of people having problems with Poser Pro Pack exports. The solution they use is to open the model in UV mapper then save it. http://www.uvmapper.com If you don't have it it's a must have program for Poser ( IMO ) the classic version is free.

usually, when dealing with OBJ files and getting that error in bryce, it's looking for a secondary file with a .mtl extension. If you have that available, make sure it's in the same directory as your obj file.

by this point i useually get a crash when 5 looks for mtl or jpg so to hell with the hastle, i load it in 4, obp it and send it back to 5
