If you look in the resource center here (the link is just below the banner) you will find a number of links to companies that create and sell Photoshop plugins. Many of these companies offer demo versions for you to try in order to see if you like them.

These are some great plug-ins. Also try all of the Kai's Powertools versions and Alien Skin by Eye Candy, they're great too.
