...and it is one excellent model. It's also HUGE. But it works pretty fast on my AMD 500mhz, a lot faster than I expected. Using this in my movie - the image above only has the lens flare/sun added in Photoshop. Other than that, no postwork. The lighting is one of the included presets. Camera presets are pretty nice too, makes it easy to get in there and shoot. :)

Show us more! :) Jay

Thanks Jay, I will do that as soon as I have some more! I'll try and post some images tonight (USA, EST) after I get home from work. I gotta say, I really do love this ship. The doors open/shut, hatches work, and the cargo bay - oh my GOD it's a cargo bay! The seats swivel, the elevators work, and the wings of the shuttle are moveable. (there are preset poses for this too.) The size of the model to Poser scale is 660 ft. length by 255 ft. at the widest point according to the ReadMe. The textures for the control panels are really neat too. Reminds me a lot of the look in the movie The Black Hole. I unfortunately haven't had more than an hour or so to play with it. I can't WAIT to get home! LOL!

Here's the link to Imagination Works... I'm also getting their VTOL 1 & 2 ships to use pretty soon. Those are 2 smaller 2-person ships that are also poseable and to poser scale. Should be great for some chase scenes. :)

I also have this and it's brilliant, I am using it in a series of sci-fi stories that will be shown on PoserCity in the near future, here's a sneak of the outside and a bridge shot too.

And the bridge shot, with two of my characters, the Sirian Sha'kari and Calise, a rescued girl.

Nice work jarm. We share the same taste for the Super Suits as well. ;) Are you doing a movie or still images?

jarm ( ) posted Tue, 30 April 2002 at 4:07 PM

Still images my friend, my skills as an animator leave much to be desired.

Wow! These are great images! Superb characters too! Dave :-)

MaterialForge ( ) posted Tue, 30 April 2002 at 7:37 PM

jarm, can't wait to see it finished. That's really cool it's going to be on Posercity. Greybro is a friend of mine, and a really talented musician and artist. Dave - thanks! I've got your MoCap Pak added to my cart, ready to purchase very soon. :) Hopefully I'll be able to post some animations this weekend, if all goes to schedule.

Do a search through the poser forum for bvh files. There is a link to a free 30 mb bvh archive somewhere in here.

MaterialForge ( ) posted Tue, 30 April 2002 at 10:27 PM

Really? Cool, I'll search! Thanks Mark!

Does that little shuttle they show on their site come with the magellan?

We're going to have a detachable shuttle that contains a land cruiser buggy that is equipped with full weaponry. The shuttle is not done yet, but the land cruiser is. I'll get them out to all Magellan owners as soon as they're completed. I think I might make them available for download from Turbo Squid, but at present, we are only selling the Magellan direct from our own site. I'll keep you posted on that. To Silver and jarm, what can I say? Your work is (as Eddy Izzard would describe it,) "FANTASTIC!" Thanks so much for the great post, and glad you're all enjoying the ship. GREAT, FUN STUFF, GUYS! Cheers! Pam
