I just posted my version of a Conan character in Free Stuff.
Ste Gismervik (Savage2001) was kind enough to host the character at his site at www.conan.no.
The character requires Mike 2. To use all the items included you must own the following...

1. Michael 2 (DAZ)
2. Michael's Cowboy boots (DAZ - Michael Clothing Pac 2)
3. Victoria's Skirt (DAZ - Victoria Clothing Pac 1)
4. Eagle Necklace (DAZ - Victoria Barbarian Clothing Pac)
5. Sword Scabbard (DAZ - Night Character - The original one not any of the ones for Michael)
6. Kazaburo's Morph Hair

By the way if your a Conan fan you would be doing your self a favour by checking out Ste's site. It is really one of best Conan sites I've ever seen.

Chris you can still use the character if you only have Mike 2 you will just have to use other clothes and the hair is available for free. There are a number of loin clothes available for free as well.

Thorgrim, first, thanks for such a fine looking Conan!!! Can I clarify a couple things? 1.) Do you mean the DAZ Knight character (kind of like my last name, only my name is knightS). 2.)Do you mean the Transmapped Morph Hair that's available at the link I show here? I may have it lying around, but unless I'm mistaken it's "P4 hair," and I may have buried my P4 CD's in the bottom of a stack. Ron Knights

Yea, it should be Knight, I didn't even notice that. (Even a spell checker can't read your mind):)

It's the origional "Knight" character that from back when DAZ was still Zygote.

The hair is available www.digitalbabes2.com. It's female hair.

Also, I forgot to mention that there is another set of instructions available at Ste's site in the download section. It is more detailed in case anyone has problems with the original. This is the first time I've ever put anything together for distribution, so, I you see something I should have done different as far as the file locations and instructions please let me know. Other wise I won't learn anything.:)

OK, I had a few problems. 1.) I can't see the darned Torque. Maybe I forgot to install Vicky's Barabarian Pack. 2.) I can't see the scabbard. Ooops I forgot to install the Knight. I'll fix that. 3.) I got Conan all together, and used one of Schlabber's sword poses (minus the sword). I hit "Drop to Floor," and you can see what happened. Conan lost his hair, and shot up into the sky. What happened? I must have made a mistake?! Hey, don't sweat the mis-spelling of the word Knight. I've lived with that name all my life. It's harder if you add the S on the end of the name: knightS.

Ron, you also need to adjust the width of the calves -- they're sticking out of the boots.

OK, I made some progress. I found the knight and Vicky's Barbarian Pack. I added the items, and they show just fine. Well, the torc was buried inside his chest.. Ouch.. I fixed that, more or less. I posed Conan, but didn't like the pose. I learned one thing. Do NOT use Edit, Restore Character. Conan lost his muscles!!! I loaded Conan back from the Character Library. He was missing his Torc and scabbard. I guess that meant the props were not setup as Smart Props? They needed to be parented to parts of Conan's body? Which parts?! They didn't know to tag along when Conan was saved to the library? While we're at it, did I taper Conan's calves too much? Do his legs look too skinny now? Oh gosh, what happened to the loin cloth? Did I break it? Hey, this is one great character. I'm just a dummy, and sometimes you have to draw me a huge road map. I appreciate any insights you can offer here. (PS I discovered the reason Conan flew in the air before when I hit Drop to Floor. There must have been a problem with Schlabber's sword pose... Maybe it had morph channels saved? The other poses I used didn't give Conan wings!) Ron

Hi Ron, Here's a link to a more detailed set of instructions. If you follow these to the letter it should all work out okay. I hope :)

The hair looks terrific!! I've had hair fly off a million times, I've never known what does it. Braids are particularly prone to hanging in the air. Usually I delete it and reapply once the pose is set. Sometimes that works, if it doesn't I pick another type of hair. Kaz's hair works for everybody-- P4 to Mike 2. Don't ever give that up, it's better than most of the ones you pay for. Oh Ron, remember your prob with Boris hair. I've found scaling hair to 112% works for Boris with just about every hair-- as long as it was guys hair to begin with. Emily

Thanks, my friends. I think it helps to set parent on the hair, and lock actor. Well sometimes it helps. I printed out the instructions, but probably can't get to them till later. I'm still pretty raw at some of this detailed stuff. I make a few mistakes. I shuddered to look at this long list of preparations, but forged timidly ahead. This is such a cool character.
