Looking for US or British styled Field Jackets and uniforms. Also need the hats. I have found plenty of German style uniforms, but no Allies.

My current project post them when they are done. I can see it now its a race to finish first. Greyskin

Thanks a bunch. Will they fit both male and female characters? Trying to create war scene and nobody wants to come.

Working on just male so far. Tons of books to look through in my library, but haven't found any picture of females so far except "Rosie". The concentration during the war was on our fighting men and their hardships. Greyskin

How bout checking the local library....W.A.V.E.S,,,W.A.S.P. Etc...If I recall some air museums and such have documentation for women in service. Check for local re-enactment groups,Hobby shops etc...these guys know where to find stuff for the women.... Nothing better lookin than a women in one of those navy dress dress's....

  • To Butch :: where are these German style uniforms? - I have put on the Poser Fun Stuff a man in an overall and heavy boots :: perhaps that would look reasonably like a battledress if it was given a military texture map.

One site is..... www.noxgeo.com/ww3d/ Not sure what else he has, but I'd sure like to see any other links anybody has.....

Butch ( ) posted Mon, 31 January 2000 at 3:53 PM

I found them at the WWII site. http://www.noxgeo.com/ww3d/links.html,they also had vehicles. GreyLight Poser Archives also has some stuff. There was one other site, but I forgot where it was. The link the couple of times that I tried it was soooo slow.

Hey Butch,,,If ya find anymore good uniform site's ya gotta share-um...

Anthony Appleyard ( ) posted Tue, 01 February 2000 at 2:31 AM

http://www.noxgeo.com/ww3d/links.html does contain under "Props" a 1939-1945 type UK "tin hat" and also a USA GI steel helmet (as well as a mass of German stuff). But its German steel helmet (called "SS Stahlhelm") was 404 when I looked just now. There is a German-style helmet in the Poser Fun Stuff (with texture map to put your own badge on it) (and with a posable anachronistic transparent riotsquad visor, but delete/hide the visor if you don't want it).

I got helments and weapons, but need the uniforms, unless I want to have a war with a bunch of naked soldiers!

A suggestion - for those looking for info on female WW II Uniforms - there was an Osprey Men-At-Arms book (#100, I believe) on just this topic. Out of print currently, but might be available at local reference library or Military book store.
