Maybe you need some more details? To use a bitmap on an object, let's say a sphere, select the sphere, then double-click in the material window what shows the "basic" material. This will open the material editor. In there, select "mapped picture" and find the bitmap you want to use. Click OK. Guitta
... and when you are here, you can also use the same bitmap as "bump". Select "bump" sheet in the material editor, then right click on the object which shows the bump function, select edit. Then, in the new window, choose "mapped...", (I can't remember exactly the term), then you will be allowed to load the picture of your choice. In fact the principle is aways the same for other features like transparency, variable reflection, .... Have fun, Yves

Hello all, I am new to Vue and I know I could spend my time reading the manual, but I thought I would just post here instead. I have gotten a number of CD's that have textures on them from 3D mags. The textures are coming up as JPGs. can these be imported to use in VUE? let me know, thanks!! White Bear
