Subject: light beam

i'm looking tor a tut/plug for a light beam from top down, u know, when the bottom's the larger circle, the likes of what we see in TV that comes out of a spaceship when it grabs people 'n stuff. Any ideas?, tnx a lot

Have you tried the different styles in Lighting Effects? Filter - Render - Lighting Effects then choose a style I'm sure one of the lighting styles will work for you with a bit of tweaking here and there.
