Subject: why are there 2 breasts???

DreamstoGo ( ) posted Sun, 05 May 2002 at 6:44 PM · edited Sat, 21 September 2024 at 12:36 PM

In the pz2 file On "body" there are 8 breasts all at "zero"... the "chest" setting will have 6 breasts at zero, breast 6 @ a certain number, breast 8 at at a certain number. when I raise "body" breast1 to -.500 it makes the breasts bigger. I check "chest" properties and breast1 still at 0.00.. why didn't it move when i made "body"1 bigger, and why are there 2 places to adjust the size of the breasts??? trying to learn the ins and outs of making MAT files..

LOL ... folks have been having fun with this question ... but I might be able to help a little with why this happens.

Poser models are broken up into several parts, among them the right and left sides of the chest. Each side of the chest has a breast (hehehe ... funny how that works). Each of those breasts has a series of different size morphs.

To save you some time, the breast size morphs also appear in the Body section of the figure. The Body morphs work in a similar way to the fairie or superhero morphs, where you can adjust more than one part with a single setting. Basically, instead of having to set each breast individually, you can just use the setting in the Body to adjust both breasts at once. It's not really a Full Body Morph like the "Fairie" or "Superhero" morphs are ... it's a partial body morph that affects only the chest area.

The reason that the morphs are also there in the individual parts is that if they AREN'T left in, the Body morphs won't work right (at least, I think that's right ... someone with more knowledge about the full body and partial body morphs maybe can explain this better than I).

Hehehe, I hope I haven't really confused everyone now. 8-)

One thing which does bother me are all the cat women depicted with two huge breasts instead of the six smaller ones common to cats. If I was modeling such a combined creature she'd have more than just a cat head and texture, but the body, too. This would also make them invincible fighters. A male opponent would stand there bemused with two hands looking at six breasts... and I won't say what the last thought through his mind would be. ;^) Note: Diana of the Ephesians had 50 breasts (you ought to see the statuary!!!!)
