I'm just starting to learn my way around my new Bryce 5. Why does the menu have a link to the USGS? Is there a feature here I'm missing? Tom

Alright newbie this is a simple one. Bryce is best known for its Terrain editor and USGS is best know for pictures and elevation maps. So you can open DEM (Digital Elevation Maps)in bryce making very realistic landscapes. Hence the link to USGS...DEM good!

I have a tutoral on this subject at the link here. The freebie downloads from USGS are fun and reasonably accurate.

It's called the US Geological Survey.

My bryce computer is stand-alone, so I don't use the link, but I'll have to take a look now.
