Looks tempting. Any documentation come with it?

It looks like an incredible product, and I've already put it in my shopping cart, but P.O.O.P. seems an unfortunate acronym?

JHoagland ( ) posted Wed, 24 April 2002 at 12:23 PM

To answer some questions: Yes, documentation is included (in the form of a readme HTML file), but the program is fairly easy to use- it's just like Windows Explorer. You "expand" folders and "expand" Poser files to see "inside" them (and, depending on the file, click to "scan".) As for the acronym, I bet you're not likely to forget it. :) It's a lot more catchy than just "OO" (for Object Organizer"... then again, I suppose I could have called it the "OOPS": Object Organizer Program Software. --John

I understand you also working on poserBoost. is there a ETA on that one, so I can be sure to have some money asides. weeks..months? I know I am being nosey

JHoagland ( ) posted Wed, 01 May 2002 at 7:42 AM

Actually, poserBoost is another product, made by another artist. I haven't really kept up with the development on it, so I don't know what features it plans to have. My recommendation: buy my product now and start saving money for the other product. :) Then again, I don't think the artist has even set a price for poserBoost yet. --John

I have been putting off reorganizing my huge poser directory because I wasn't looking forward to the mess of stuff I'd have to keep track of. This program is going to make it a breeze! Thank you for coming up with this. :o)

Me, I just find it funny that this program's name can be abbreviated POOP! Seriously, I'm sure it's an excellent proggy, but I'm not ready to buy it right now.

Sorry for taking so long to respond to Ron's message. But- what problems is your "good friend" having under XP? I developed it (at home) on XP Pro and I have not had any reports of it not working on that OS. In fact, I don't even know what "problems" PBoost has with XP, so I can't even begin to speculate on whether my program has those same "problems". Yes, I did receive some e-mails from people who were having problems with my program. For almost all of them, it was a simple matter of registering some files or a newer version of other files. I'm not sure what I need to "spell out" "up front"- during the time it has been for sale, only a few people have reported "issues" (out of all the buyers and all the testers). And, if it's not "good enough to offer a refund after the trouble has been experienced", then what do you suggest I do? I am more than happy to work with people to get the program to work, but sometimes the customer prefers a refund instead of trying to get it to work. And, not to change the subject, Ron, but how are you "frustrated" by my Poser Object Organizer Program? Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't see your name on my customer list. Have you actually tried my program? If you're basing your opinion on what you've heard from other people, then at least give me a chance to answer those issues, before you make comments about the program. --John
