Subject: Running Carrara on a G4

I'm a complete newbie, so I'm not even going to start with the million and one questions that I have. My main concern right now is getting everything to run properly. The machine I use is a dual processor G4, but when rendering an image, the "enable SMP" is greyed out. Any ideas?

Mark said they were supporting that in v.2.

That's one of those features that was in RayDreamStudio but wasn't enabled in Carrara for the MacOS version. It's taken over a year but finally will be functional in Carrara V2 soon. I'll look forward to a review when yo get the upgrade. I don't have a dual Mac but would consider it for next year.

Thanks for the reply. I read Marks message after I posted my question. I only hope the upgrade isn't too much... it has taken me 6 months just to get the IT people here to get this copy. I'll keep my fingers crossed. :)

i'm glad you mentioned this problem before i spent my money on a dual g4. i'll save may cash for a while i guess.
