I don't know about DAZ or Renderosity's marketplace, but I suspect most of the agreements are basically the same (My stuff is at Bbay.com). The broker gets a 50% cut of the vendor's sales (basically they provide FTP space, a central location for similarly used products, product promotion, and bookkeeping) which is not a bad deal if you don't want the hassles of selling stuff from your own site. The biggest difference between Renderosity and DAZ would be the "exclusivity agreements" where you agree to sell a particular item on their site without offering it in another marketplace.

I've had good experiences brokering here and at DAZ; very helpful folks both places who understand anxious merchants.Yes, Steve is happily away in Hawaii for a couple weeks, but someone is handling his messages. If you haven't looked at the MarketPlace brokering info, here's the link. There's lots of good stuff to get you started, and a variety of support mechanisms available once you've got a product accepted to get your store up and running. Good luck.
I've had really good luck with Renderosity's. I haven't tried DAZ yet, but hope to very soon. I've been brokering since last summer, and though I only have a few products, and haven't really pushed them much, it's put a few hundred bucks in my pocket over the months, some good extra money for my hobby. So I'm happy. And the Renderosity folks are the best when it comes to support! :)
Renderosity's stuff, especially Clint is really helpfull. Sometimes it looks they doesn't sleep. Means the response is allways in a very short time. About the copyright i would say forget it and save the bucks. It wouldn't hold back those stupid people which pirates store-items from all stores. It's allways somewhat of big luck to catch one of them. Good luck. SHARKEY
Hi, This Ryan from Tech Support at DAZ. I'm covering for Steve while he's gone and doing both jobs has got my emails backed up a day or two. Steve'll be back in on Monday and doing what he does best so in the meantime, any urgent stuf can be sent directly to me at Ryan@daz3d.com. again, sorry about the delays. PS the mustang looks awesome, I'm sure there'll be a lot of people who will love to get their hands on this one...
No experience with Daz as a merchant. I'm not a fan of their exclusivity policy, so it may be a while before I have any experiences with them to compare, if ever. However, from a customer standpoint, I've found their staff to be pretty helpful to work with. As a merchant, my experiences with Renerosity, 3DCommune, and my [limited] experinces with Renderotica's staff have all been positive. I've generally found all of the various store admins to be pretty helpful. On occassional problems they been cleared up in a reasonably short amount of time. [And I'm pretty easy - as long as I get my stuff uploaded and get my checks, I try to not gripe too much. ;)] Good luck with your GT.
"I am a good person now and it feels... well, pretty much the same as I felt before (except that the headaches have gone away now that I'm not wearing control top pantyhose on my head anymore)"

What kind of experiences have any of you had with brokering your work through either DAZ or Renderosity? The 1966 Mustang GT will be complete and ready either tonight or tomorrow night. It basically finished, I just need to test it out a bit. Considering all of the messages concerning stolen work I will also be sending off to register the copyright and then it will be ready to go. I sent a message to DAZ brokering this past weekend with some questions but have not heard a reply yet so that concerns me a little bit. I think I also heard in the past there were artist concerns with their license agreement? I haven't heard anything about the Renderosity Marketplace in either way.
