Next freebee will be the 70' Cuda with ADR and my wife wants me to make a 57 T-bird. No one has seen a good model of a 57 T-bird yet have they?

You should send an E-mail to Bill Ford at Ford Motor company this was his favorite Mustang...I think he would get a "Kick" out of it.

Do you do "real" body work? Do you live near Atlanta? I need my "rice-buggy" tricked out a bit. Or maybe I should ask Legume...hehe.

YESSSSSS!!! Definitelty buying this one. I have a 3DS GN that I made a while back. It's a LITTLE rough ... would you be interested in "cleaning it up" and converting it into a Poser car? -Tim

Starmkr, Mine too, though I couldn't decide on a favorite body style so I have one of each. ;) It doesn't hurt that two of mine were built on Dec 1, 65 (including my GT Fastback) and I was born on Dec 11, 65 either. timoteo1, You can import a 3DS file into Poser. The only cars I am creating will be classics between the years 1950-1970. I currently have a 70 Cuda, 61 Vette and 65 GTO on my plate with ADR and the next from scratch is probably going to be a 57' T-bird, thats what my wife thinks I should make next and I haven't seen one out there. If you just want me to do a little clean up that wouldn't take more than an hour or so that I could do for you assuming you have some good reference pictures and the model is relatively complete. I wont create completely new interiors, engines, bodies, etc. but correcting errors or detailing maybe. It also has to be completely your own work, I am not going down the copyright infringement road. ChuckEvans, I do restore my own real classic cars, I am currently doing some touch up work on my real 66 GT Fastback (still has much of its original paint intact) and getting ready to put a new top on my 66 convertible. I only work on my own cars and I don't live anywhere near Atlanta, sorry.

Donald: Thanks. I'll email you the 3DS. Basically I just want the wheels to "work" and IF possible the hood/trunk/doors to open, but that is completely optional. And of course any clean-up required. It's fairly well done ... and it is basically a box (although they don't do th1 1/4 mile like they are a box of course!) so it shouldn't be too complicated. And yes, this is 100% mine. Thanks, Tim

Here are a couple of quick renders. Is it salvageable?

Duddly ( ) posted Fri, 10 May 2002 at 7:54 PM

Its real easy to get the wheels to work using the grouping tool in Poser. Just select the wheels polys and spawn them as props, invert selection and spawn the rest. Walla, seperate wheels and body. Delete the original mesh, use the joint editor to set the pivot points on the wheels and your done. Does it have an interior and engine? If not making the doors and hood work may be a waste. Send it on and I'll take a look at it. Is this a model of your real car? I generally use Maya so I would have to convert it to work on it. Would you need it back as a 3DS file? Email me and well talk about what I can help you with, Duddly01@hotmail.com.
