Hi again Forum Folks! Been gone about 3 weeks from here... my job lately has taken on a life of it's own, and seems determined to take mine too. I've missed this place, and my camera too. But, this evening as I was sitting on my back deck having a beer or two while the sun was going down, these two images caught my eye, and made me run for my camera. Nothing heart stopping, but it sure felt good to shoot something again. There was this big leaf deep in the shadows, but a bit of sunlight somehow got through, and all of a sudden lit it up. A little PS on this one, but just some seasoning to bring out what was already there.

I'm glad you stopped in......I was wondering about you just the other day. Really nice image Marshall.

I am, therefore I create.......

Here's the second one.... got kicked off line. This one is the first of my caladiums coming up. I planted about 300 (gasp), so they should be beautiful when the rest arrive.. This leaf hasn't opened yet. No PS on this one. Just the sun low on the horizon. I feel a little more alive now, thanks for watching!

the second one dude, if that background was really blurred in (the wall part), it'd really highlight the plant, it already has a very "flame-ish" look to it. Having something fire-ish against a dark background would really bring it out me thinks... great stuff dude

That leaf is wonderful Marshall, and the colour of those caladiums is so striking! 300? can't wait to see the photos of them all out! :-)>

beautiful lighting on the leaf and the second one is fabulous on its own. i like that you get to see it untouched. it will be great to see the whole bed in full leaf... will look fabulous on a windy day too :)

Neat plants. Hope to see more of them. Take a break from work when you can.

Did what you said here. Didn't think about it because I wanted to post it without any post work, but it does improve it.
