Subject: Again the mapping problem

Sorry for posting a .tif. Didn't know that. Yes, it is a combination of a planar mapping to split and a espherical mapping to unfold the rest of the mesh. But how?

I heard a rumour that Zygote use Flesh to do this type of mapping but its an expensive program at about $1000 for the lite version......Tru V might do it but thats about 500 bucks, which kinda shows how fantastic UVmapper is if you need lots of detail all over the face I'd try box mapping or spherical on the Z axis then paint in 3d coz the map won't make much sense, failing that lots of experimenting, sorry I couldn't help more...Steve

Yes, Zygote uses Flesh but it's way too expensive. The unwrap UVW modifier in MAX works great but I don't know if I can achieve the desired results even after a lot of tweaking with it. That's what's so cool about UV Mapper. It's quick and easy. It splits the mesh where we want and how we want. Haven't figured how to do that with the UVW modifier in MAX. Thank you all for your sugestions. I'll give it a try.
