I saw this notice this morning on my Yahoo Poser List... .... Hi List; Just noticed that Lannie's 3D Model World is gone - due to bandwidth abuse. This really is too bad cause Lannie really worked hard on this and I considered it an excellent resource. As usual a few scumbags ruined it for the majority.... MY REPLY.... Hi everyone. I don't know myself what is going on with my site. I was unaware that the site is down, until this morning. But I will find out... I have tried to call Allen as he Hosts the site, and has done this without Letting Me Know, but I haven't been able to reach him yet... So Please have a little patience with this problem. I DO NOT HAVE ANY INTENTIONS OF CLOSING MY SITE PERMANENTLY. I will keep everyone informed as to what is going on, as soon as I know. Thanks for you patience Lannie lannie-c@cox.net http://www.3dmodelworld.com

Is this why there was no update since January? I'm glad to hear from you. I had posted a query in this forum a while back, but no-one replied. I wasn't complaining about the updates, I was wondering what happened to you as you're usually pretty good at adding new stuff. Anyway, glad you're still part of the tribe here.

Hi Artnik I have had so many problems with my site. I don't have control over it now since Allen has been hosting it. It has been up and down so many times. I am working on the site and am trying to redesign it and make it easier to get around on it. Please bear with me. Hopefully I will have a really good new site. I have lots of new stuff to put up.

I'm glad to see you are planning on getting your site back online. It would be a great loss to the Poser community (as well as the 3D community at large) to see it go away permanently.

For some reason, I was unable to go to your site without Explorer crashing (!?) for about 4 months... But I finally got in a few days ago and it was like being let loose in a candy store with unlimited funds =:^) Then I went back yesterday and discovered the site closed, with a message posted that I assumed was from you. Thank you for setting the record straight. I, for one, can't wait to get back in!

This may or may not have anything to do with your bandwidth problem Lannie but you may be interested in knowing that there seems to be a major problem out there with sites stealing entire sites' bandwidth...I would direct you to another forum I belong to where this has happened. This is an excellent thread to read so please take a moment or two - it can happen so easily and unless you get cut off by your provider, how would you know unless you have specific software to deal with this? The message board is Stephanie's Photo Impact Board: :)

Lannie, It is so good to hear from you, especially since this has been a troublesome year for so many really neat sites. I hope that you can find the problem as well as open your doors again. Carolly
