Subject: Ship's Mast

Taken today onboard the Amistad. The Amistad is a replica of the famous slave ship of the same name. It was, I believe, built by school kids under the guidance of ship builders. The workmanship is quite remarkable, and the ship is quite seaworthy. Aside from a few of the crew I had the whole boat to myself for photographing.

mad nice composition dude! You gotta bring the rope and wood textures out a bit though, then I won't have any complaints. Great shot man.

Ok Slynk, here's one with the contrast and saturation jacked up. Not sure how to get anything more out of it. Any suggestions?

Second one is great, the colours & detail really add to the cool composition.

Grandiose..! But, I think I like the first one better somehow as it seems closer to what you were actually seeing, and that rather monochromatic (but, surely multi-tonal) appearance is attractive...
