Subject: Double huh???...

HairBall ( ) posted Sat, 18 May 2002 at 7:01 AM · edited Sun, 26 January 2025 at 5:47 PM

Well, I received a warning from someone who will remain anonymous unless they delete my thread again (Savin' it baby,FYI!) Warning me that I was posting controversial images that were in violation of the TOS under a clone account. Again I say Huh???!!!!
And double Huh?????!!!! When it was deleted by someone other than myself.

Moving thread to Forum News and Team Contact.

BTW, if you're referring to your original "Clarification please" thread as having been deleted, it wasn't. It was moved here to Forum News and Team Contact, as was this one. This is the appropriate forum for these threads, not OT, where you originally posted.

Sorry, but I was never notified of the thread move. I originally received a IM from audre stating that I was posting controversial images under a clone account, which supposedly was in violation of the TOS. I responded, but never received a reply. I would like to try and help clarify this matter if only I could get a response.
Thank you.

I realized you hadn't received notification of the thread move, which is why I IM'd you about this one. It would be nice if we had a mechanism in place for this kind of event. Something else to add to our overworked programmer's list, perhaps. You didn't state the time frame of these IM's, but I surely hope that you're taking into account that even admins and mods need sleep occasionally. Rather than making public posts about private communications, I suggest that you try to exercise just a bit of patience in waiting for a reply from Audre. I'm quite sure she'll want to clarify any questions you have about her original IM to you. Thanks for your understanding and patience.

NO way I do not believe that...admins need sleep what a load of rubbish if I ever heard one :)

Message671428.jpg That's really the "wow" emoticon, but it looks enough like a yawn for me right now. ;-)

What was the
image that was posted
with the clone account?

Methinks this is a matter between HairBall and Audre, not the general public. Thus, I am locking this thread.

in actuality, the IM that started this was a very polite and UNoffical clarification to a member about posting with clone accounts. in this case, it was a very friendly explanation of the types of things that violate the TOS but may not be apparent to a member. nothing specific was mentioned about any particular postings and/or images. this entire thread/situation would have easily been avoided had the member followed the advice given them by the other mods... i am quite happy to explain if there is confusion as to what i mean. if you need clarification, by all means IM me and i'll be happy to explain. if my explanation is not sufficient, we can have one of the other mods or admins explain it. thanks!
