Subject: Poser download trouble

beelzebulb ( ) posted Mon, 07 February 2000 at 10:38 PM · edited Wed, 22 January 2025 at 6:38 AM

For some reason I haven't been able to get a download of any file hosted on Yahoo/GeoCities for the last 2 days. I never had a problem before. I have followed the instructions to the letter that you are supposed to if the download doesn't start ( they always opened and started before right away with no problem) but all I end up with is more windows opened on Yahoo/GeoCities and no downloading in sight. Have they gone and changed things again to screw with peoples minds as per thier usual practice or is this a hopefully temporary aberration? Also is anyone else experiencing this problem or has my I.P. # been singled out for cruel and unusual treatment.?

I noticed today while trying to access Yahoo that they were down for around two hours...unforuntately I had to use Lycos... which I am not all to keen on. Either they are moving their servers around or they've been hacked again... Jack

I was still having this trouble about half an hour ago. Probably hacked again.

I've read some news on tv this morning that yahoo got attacked by unknown hackers, and their whole site was stuck for hours - maybe it's because of that.

A similar thing (though from a supplier glitch, not a hacker) caused Pacbell e-mail to be down for 3 or 4 days too. I just got my e-mail from last thursday. Just a heads up for anyone on the west coast. Yahoo is still a little unstable today, but Pacbell seems to be doing fine. Boni
