Subject: The hidden morphs???

Hi there I recently purchased Poser4, and this is my first posting to this forum. A couple of weeks ago this message was a posted to the forum: In the pz2 file On "body" there are 8 breasts all at "zero"... the "chest" setting will have 6 breasts at zero, breast 6 @ a certain number, breast 8 at at a certain number. when I raise "body" breast1 to -.500 it makes the breasts bigger. I check "chest" properties and breast1 still at 0.00.. why didn't it move when i made "body"1 bigger, and why are there 2 places to adjust the size of the breasts??? trying to learn the ins and outs of making MAT files.. Is there anybody out there who can explain a poor beginner what the question was about? When I open a pz4 file (nude woman) I find four options regarding the breasts,(small, large, nipple, and droop) and they are parametre dials located in the bodypart chest. I do not find any parameter dials regarding breasts among the parameter dials controlling the body. I guess the answer to my question is obvius to most of you out there, but I'm kind of lost here..........

I believe that message referred to Victoria, a more advanced figure sold by DAZ. She has a ton of built-in morphs.

to get a little more into detail each of those dials refers to a different shaped morph you will see the acual full shape change by setting the dial to 1.0 when you set more then one dial to a different setting you will get a combination of two morphs which may work or may cause something strange to your figure depending how extreme the morphs are. as to the body paramiters they tend to control the overall look of the figure not so much individual features. hope that helps in your quest for knowlege. most of the DAZ figures have a mind numbing aray of paramiters and i havn't experimented with half of them yet. if you think the chest is confusing check out the head. on steph there must be over 20 dials for the mouth and lips alone and that doesn't even count the phenomes.

Thank you for your answer dupre. It was clarifying. I've just startet working with the facial morphs which come with the characters in Poser 4. I'll think I will stick to them for the time being, and move on to the DAZ figures when I feel that I've got a better understanding for the program.

Whatever you do, MAKE SURE you go to DAZ ASAP and download the temporarily free low res Victoria. You'll kick yourself later if you don't get her while she's free.

Yeah, the free Vickie is awesome. Go through the motions of buying it and it will take you to the download site without asking for payment information. The Poser models that come with the program have one chest object. Daz split the chest into several meshes making it necessary to adjust both sides seperately. The up side is better control and the low res model is still very spectacular. The url is my first shot at the low res Vickie freebie from DAZ.
