Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 30 6:52 am)
Jenna, I don't believe either this problem has some thing to do with the number of objects. I have images with more then 2000 objects and over 20 Million polygons. Vue slows down, but don't crash. Some questions: Do you have Vue 4.06-02? Is this message unique or does it come back often? Always in the same scene and not in another? This message pops up after you have done what exactly? Infos about your computer, Ram etc... This are also the questions e-onsoftware will ask you if ever you need their support. But let's try first something else. You can group objects (group the objects of a house or a forest...). You can hide objects (hide the objects you don't need to see while working, they do not disapear in reality and are always there when you render). You can box objects (faster redraw). Have a look in the User Guide. All these features in Vue does that Vue redraws faster a scene, even if it is a heavy one with many objects or many boolean operations. If you have a problem to find this in your user guide, I will search for you. If your problem persists, you need e-on's support. But lets make sure you have done every thing possible to avoid the message coming back:-). Guitta
I won't be at home at my computer until this afternoon, but for now here's all the info I can remember: -I have lots of groups already in the scene, and certain hidden objects so I don't think that doing this further will help. -I think that I have version 4.05 (I didn't do the latest update so I've pretty sure that this is right.) -This is the first time I've gotten this error, and it only comes up in this specific scene. -I don't think the error comes up after doing anything specific, but I've gotten it after applying a texture map to one of my objects, after trying to render, after applying a bump map.. -I'm running Windows ME with 256 MB of RAM Ok, that's all I can think of for now. Anything I missed? Any ideas what the problem could be? Thanks again for your help, Jenna
Well, I updated to 4.06 (apparently I had only been running 4.02!) but I got the same error message :( It happened right after I changed a material one of my objects, giving it a texture map and bump map from one of my jpegs. Any other ideas? Thanks again so much, Jenna PS- I've also been having some weird problems that no one can figure out importing Poser objects into Amorphium Pro, so maybe my computer is just whacked :)

Hello all! I've been getting this error message on my new project, which I believe is because I have lots of objects (556.) Is there any way for me to sort of flatten a bunch of objects into one? I would do it in another program, but they are mostly Vue primitives, so I can't export them. Suggestions anyone? Thanks so much, Jenna
