Gorodin, Your correct the sleeves need to be lengthened and I'd add captain's strips (gold braid). The slacks look good. Some "ribbons" on the chest, not medals. The Manticorans are depicted as paralelleing Victorian England, and in that erea the naval officer's uniforms were very fancy. Gold braid across the double breast of the jacket and a lanyard from the shoulder wouldn't be out of place, IMHO. Oh, and a cap... Over all though, you have captured Honor. mike
I was thinking I might have to paint the sleeves in post... but i have an idea or two to try 1st... I don't think Weber described the gold braid, though it was on the cover of the 1st book. I think the striping's pretty accurate. You are absolutely right about the cuff stripes, still need to do that. Ribbons, yes, but I see this portrait @ Basilisk Station timeline, so not sure how decorated she is yet. (medals are only for formal occasions, right?) I'm going to have to claim artistic license on the cap issue... makes her look too much like a stewardess. Thanks for the feedback.
Actually after a moments thought I realized that the books discribed them as wearing berets, I believe red normally and white for an active duty ship's commander. Perhaps she can carry it or you can model it tucked into the eplet the way airborne troops carry them indoors. Where did you fing the jacket model? It shouldn't be very hard to "stretch" the sleeves in a modeling program. mike

Oh and BTW, I still need a belt for her uniform...
