Hi everybody, I don't like in this picture the tree because it looks like stuck in the building. I tried to put some shadows by hand, and change the color but the tree and especialy the roots look like out of the rest. Is there someone to give me some advice? Thanks.

the tree itself lacks the greenish/yellowish hue that its surroundings have, and also, iots seems a little more contrasty than its surroundings too, the surroundings look a little more washed out than the tree. The house to the right definitely needs some shadowing from the tree on it. Still, I think I can see where this is going, and its lookin' mighty good so far. It's got a creepy-ish edge to it that's kinda subtle, all it needs is the deathmobile from Jeepers Creepers coming down the road, lol. Good stuff man

LOL ... yes, the deathmobile from Jeepers Creepers... I have to admit it. I did watch that movie.

Thanks for these advices :) Actually, I'm an architecture student and this picture was made to explain my idea. Thanks again!

admit it dreamer, that was one of the best horror flicks in recent memory. Haven't seen any movie yet that has EVER freaked me out so much within the first 5 minutes, nor a movie like that with such a twist of an ending.

Gotta admit the death mobile was creepy. "Jeepers Creepers: Where'd you get those peepers?" when you hear that song, you gotta run

yes i always like horror movies with creepy old songs, i've seen an other movie (forgot the name) and that had also a 60's song and every time you heard that someone died or something but about the image: the tree needs lots more color, and i'm not shure what's wrong at the bottom, but is that water coming out?? and it looks like the tree is floating, is that suppose to be, or does it have to stay on the ground? because than you don't see the roots ofcourse, but you can also put the tree somewhere else, at the left site of the road for example, becuase it's a bit empty there, and a bit to messy at the right side... so try some more, and i love to see any improvements so you could post them here! good luck!

I like it a lot personally, but the tree does need to be tinted the same color hue as the rest of the scene. You might also want to consider putting a boulder under the tree to give the roots something to hold onto. I'd also paint the tree over the wall there in the midle. The roots are in front of the wall, so the rest of the tree should also be in front of the wall. That would bring the whole tree forward a bit to give it some seperation.
