Please answer to this question, even all the artists who use the french or german version of Vue 4.06-02: When you have renderes an image to screen and then choose "save image", this window opens. What is written in the "Type" box by default ? Do you see "all picture files" (or the equivalent in french or geraman), or do you see "BMP(*.bmp)" by default? Thanks for answering. guitta

i see all picture types by default............... have to choose what format I want before saving it (that's in the engllish version by the way)

In win 98 vue 4.06 I see 'all picture files'. I'll check win 2000 later. Eon (and others) have a tradition of the default file type in a 'save as' box being odd in some way - I'd hate to see such a long established practice ended. Its become part of my life...

Hi Guitta Win XP Vue 4.06 in File Name it has Untitled.bmp save as type it has All picture files David

I have all picture files, but if I forget to choose a specific format, it will default to a .bmp. Sharen

Do you all see "the name of the image.bmp" or only the name like me?

Hi Guitta, with Vue 4.06, and win 2000 pro, when i save the picture for the first time it has "title of the landscape. BMP"( by default...) and the type is "Tous les fichiers images". Georges.:)

Windows 98 users! Do you see the extension after the name of the image? Or do you have to choose it by hand?

En franis c'est plus facile... Si tu coches dans W98 Options des Dossiers -> Affichage -> Masquer les extensions des fichiers de type connu, l'extension n'apparait pas dans le secteur de fichier ... Sinon oui ... A+ Patrick

I have the English version and always have to choose Jpeg on hand. And only the name is there .no ext. regards Myske

Thanks Patrick, but I had the extensions enabled. Here is the solution now. I got it by e-onsoftware, but don't understand why and how. I have downloaded the latest version of the 06 patch wich is "Vue 4.06-02 Build 255998" and it works now. Bizarre! Guitta

"Tous les fichiers d'images" means "All Files of Images" and "Lecture seule" means "Reading Alone"

Guitta, here it defaults to .BMP , VUE 4.06.02 b255994, I have never (since 2.0) seen it do otherwise.

All picture files with me too, I have to change it to jpg or bmp

I get exactly the screen in hein's picture above, "All picture files" and the file name defaulted as "Untitled.bmp". I run Vue 4.06-02, English version on Windows 2000 Professional.

Thanks to all. For me, the problem is resolved now by downloading the latest version of 06 patch. Guitta
