here's the example of the bump texture. Warning lighting sucks, and the texture was made for a low light image i posted in the galery a few weeks ago. -Gabe-

Okay, I partially get it now... Now, how do bump maps work? Is it a black and white thing like trans maps? How do I make one? Thanks Gabe :) -DL

Start with a newtrual grey page, and the white sticks out, the black dents in, the rest follows the same concept as a trans map, I'd be happy to give you the one I use , but it's for 3ds max, and requiers tiling. That's about all I know, I'm not to wellversed in them either, I just experimented with Painter 3D and got lucky. -Hope that helps, -Gabe-

Hey, cool job, Gsalas. Now she has stretch-marks!!! (Hehehehehehehehehe) Just kidding. Darth, the bump maps are pretty simple. Basicly, it's a black & white image. The lighter an area is, the higher it is. The darker an area is the lower it is. Usually, you can get away with just taking the "texture" map, making a black & white copy of it, and loading it into the bump map channel. Of course, when you save the b & w copy, give it a different name than the texture map your using. When you load the b & w copy into the texture channel, you'll be asked if you want to change it into a " .bum " file. Click yes, when you see this. The BUM file format is Poser's proprietary format for bump maps. All bump maps MUST be converted to this format in order to work in Poser. Most 3D programs, aside from Poser that is, are content to use TIFF files. Hope this helps some.
