My Dad's workbench, taken this past Easter Sunday, 3 days after he passed away. 6 or 7 photographs here, and yes, I know they don't match up perfectly. I stood in the same place rather than walk down the length of the bench while taking them, but I got what I wanted. This is a real do-it-yourselfer workbench. He could do it all. It was as if he had just stepped outside for a break; everything was out and ready. On the left side, the pad on the coffee can has a list of lawn & garden items he was to pick up that weekend. After taking these pictures, I had to fix my mom's lamp there, and was so strangely nervous. He would have done a better job. I know this may not be art, but to me it's everything. Not trying to be a downer here at all. This is my tribute!

A very fitting tribute to a man who worked with his hands.... my condolences on your loss. now, i wonder if he can fix some of the things that God has'nt had time to.... :)

I know exactly how you feel, Phrank. I went through a lot
of the same feelings when my parents died (they didn't both
die at once or anything). You learn to live with the loss,
and I hope these images and whatever else you keep brings
you fond memories.

Thanks everyone! I was undecided on whether it was proper to post this or not, but felt good about it after I did. I think he'd get a kick knowing that people from so many different places got a look at such a close piece of his world.

it seems like he'd be an incredibly busy man in there. Great stuff man, and sorry to hear about your father's passing. My own father himself is in critical condition right now in a hospital in saskatoon. Anyways, great stuff man.
