Thanks go out to all who responded to my last post on the hair from DigitalBabes The final outcome onthat was that there are MAC files in the zips so now that THATS fixed, here's my question...... It's the F*#(^%G Eylashes again. I have the P4translash.jpg and now my question is (and I think I've tried every combination) Can someone walk me throught he process of getting them to show up! I know it starts with the render materials. After one attempt I had an entire black body with these cute little skintone eyelash holes all over it. Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!! Crash

Select the figure. Render: Materials.

MAKE SURE "TEXTURE CHANGES APPLY TO ENTIRE FIGURE" IS NOT CHECKED!!!"

In the Material drop down, select Eyelashes. (I use Vicki, Posette's eyelashes may have a slightly different name.)
In the Transparency Map area (lower right corner), click load.
Navagate to the transparency map and load it.
Set the Min Transparency and Max Transparency to 100%.
Set the Transparency Fall-Off to 0.

My example screen uses a Vicki texture, but the idea is the same.

Thanks for the detailed response. I did EXACTLY what you said to do with the exception that I used the Vicki2P4 figure and still no dice. The Trans Maps I'm using are translash.jpg and P4-translash.jpg I can see the lashes in the preview mode(the grey dots) Any other ideas. I did try this with other models so it's not the figure. Looking forward to hearing your responses. Crash

Transparency Min should be set at or near 0%. With both MIN and MAX set to 100% it will always be totally transparent. Other then that the previous screen shot and explaination is right.

Ah ha! VickiP4 needs eyelashes made for Vicki. VickiP4 means that you have Vicki's head and Posette's body. I don't know if the translash.jpg is for Posette of Vicki (if it's not working right, I'd guess Posette) but the second one is definitely not for Vicki. And Vicki's eyelashes do show up properly with MIN and MAX set to 100%. I just tried MIN at 0 and MAX at 100 and didn't see any difference. You just have to make sure the transmap has clean black and white only. (Very dark gray masquerading as black could give issues.)

Ok then but then here's the question. Doesn't the TransMap for Vicki COME with the Vicki character? and if so where is it located? Crash

Only if you bought a Vicki texture. Yes, there is a template, but you need to color it yourself. There's some free Vicki textures available here, some of which have eyelash transmaps made for Vicki. I did a search on "Eyelash" and found a Vicki eyelash and brow transmap on the first page. Cheers!
