Subject: More Backyard Critters

Tons of these hopping thru the yard today.....again....I'm so bad....I have no idea what kind of frog this is....a peeper maybe?...ASalina do you know?...we both live in the same general area, ever seen these before? They're like a pinkish brown color, they blend right in with the leaves and pine needles. Anyway the first frog was about 2 inches big...the second frog in the last two images was about maybe 1 inch big.

Great shots, Michelle! We don't have those down here. Mostly toads, and the frogs only hang around the water. #2 sure understands his/her color and knows how to find a good match.

Great pictures Michelle. Those are Wood Frogs. You can tell by the black on the sides of their faces.

Once again, as with your skunk cabbage pictures, the
websites about these things could really use better
pictures. I'll bet you could sell your images to the USGS.

frog legs yum... hehe just kidding! wonderful shots of those lil guys... are they singing yet? the tree frogs are out now and they love to sing allllll niggghhht looooooong.... makes for sleeping a bit hard.
