Just one of my out walking shots, I was try to pay a bit more attention to the composition in this one.

I don't know Bev. I realize I'm no great with composition and the green color looks so good. But I'm really not a moss fan. Still the water is good. I take it you are a early riser. Bsteph

Well, to each his own, but moss (or any type of green algae growth) is a great subject. Even though I like this a lot, and can almost hear the water (looks fairly clean too), I'm looking to see what I'm missing at the top of the photo. The water rushing out and the algae seem to be the subject focal point, but the fence, barn, and that general area has me guessing, and steals my attention away.

I kind of see what Phrank means. I hope you don't mind, Bev, but I took the liberty to experiment a bit.

Cropping didn't seem to be the answer, so I tried veiling
the background in shadows. Seems to put the focus on the
moss, bridge, and water a little more, without tightening
up the image too much.

(Don't mind the white stripe in the top left corner. That's
my sloppiness/tiredness :-)

Hmmm.....I don't know I find myself being drawn more to the upper right hand corner of the image. Maybe cropping that would work.....at any point this is really pretty bev...looks like a beautiful place to take a walk.

I am, therefore I create.......

Nice shot bevchiron you have got the composition fine like the diagonal. Can see why Asalina has darkened the top that roof does draw your eye away from the main subject. Maybe you need to borrow punkclowns wellies and get in the water for a really low shot:)

A great color in this Bev, but my eye is looking for the bend in the stream on the right hand side. Dont know if it is there, but thats what I keep trying to see.

Nice picture, Bev. We're all getting wall-eyed looking at different corners. I needed to make it a bit smaller to take it all in.

Great shot Bev! Love to take walks and this looks like a great place for a walk. I like what ASalina did. I think it improves on an already great shot. --Randy R

Plenty of ferns here Alpha, they're only just coming out now & I love them too, won't be able to resist! ASalina, I like what you did, I think it works, I tried a few cropping & shading things but nothing really worked. Marshall you're right about the stable roof too, this is when it's so good to have fresh eyes, I see this everyday & I'm so used to it being there I don't see it! Quinn, the bend can't be seen from there, the idea is more to draw the eye that way & let the viewer imagine... ; ) Thanks for the comments everyone ; ) Bsteph, you wouldn't like it here, stand still for 5 minutes & moss will be growing up your legs!!

If I could go there, I'd what mysnapz suggested: get down real low so you can get all the stream, and the background stuff (fence/barn) could be there too, but preferably out of the DOF. However it's done, what a great place for a walk!
