Corel Draw will save a vector graphic into 3ds or dxf formats. can be done to turn a jpeg into a 3d object. to test it, I rendered posette, saved the image and did the trace, woulnd up with really nice vector graphic of her that I was able to edit the mesh in max afterwards. might be other apps to do the same thing.
Yes, I was informed of the C programming file after I posted, my wife got upset with me that I didn't remember that. Apparently it also stands for Certified Protection Professional, but I figured as the question was 3d related that the OpenGL graphic was more suited. :) Didn't know about CorelTrace, thanks for that information I'll take a look at that later and see what Corel claim about it. :)
