I have no clue whats happened, but I aint trading warez. I am sending ots a few cds of models I made, and whispered to her in chat that she had to wait on the one cd of the files in maya cause I loaned my only copy out and didnt have my image copy of it anymore (I have burned several copies for people in my developement group lately). The reason I told her that if she wanted it she had to wait was because I don't own maya and ported my stuff to it using copies at my school and a friends (school's now out, and I don't see the friend often now cause he is working full time for summer, which means I can't redo it) The deal was that I was sending her copies of my models for her to look at and learn from (i keep all the stacks and multiple copies in different so things can be backtracked) because she was needing some help for school. I havent done warez trading, and don't have any warez. I have no clue why people thought I was warezing. I am a software developer, so I know the problems with it. Career suicide if you use warez to make and sell things, then its hard to make money if people pirate your stuff. If people talk about warez in chat I normally report them, and I am not a hypocrit. I cannot say for certain if Jan pirated stuff, but I do know I didnt have anything to do with it if she did. Since when is distributing your own models how you please against the TOS or the law. and next time when people start spreading rumors, please check with the people they are about cause when I got home I got several emails from people saying they heard I was banned when I hadnt heard anything of the sort.

Hellmark: Read the log ots posted in the thread below. That's where the idea came from. And as far as I can see, it looks pretty fuckin' sketchy. I'll take your word for it, but I don't think anyone has any reason to apologize for thinking that log says what it appears to say. The irony was that ots was going out of her way to edit a log to make edriver out to be an evil nastard ( which he's not ) but didn't edit out the implications the log made on her own actions. If you want to get pissed at someone, get pissed at her... as she was the one who posted your private conversation to the forums. Paul

Yeah, I read the log and it didn't look real good. I kinda laughed my butt off. Next time I try helping someone out like this, I better make it clear enough so just incase other people find out they know what the full story is. I think the reason ots didnt think to clear that part out was because she believed we weren't doing anything wrong, which really we weren't. I just hope this got cleared up.

Well, apart from the warez blooper, all I could see (apart from a couple of things ed said) was otsego being pretty offensive! - I assume she must have really pissed ed of previously in some way, as he is not usually rude. Ah well, hopefully thet will get over it!

Ehh, eric sometimes is, but normally something set him off first. I have no clue what happened on that, since he was mad when I came in and was mad after I left and I wanted no part of that.

I don't hack the chat....I know a few people who have found a way to issue action commands that don't show their name prior to the action...but they haven't shared their "trick" with others. What showed in the chatlog I posted is exactly what appeared on my screen. It doesn't show the "loaning my CD to a friend" because I don't whisper illegal activity to people. I could have edited the chat to omit the adult parts out of it but then that would be doing what otsego did...only pasting the parts she wanted others to see. What was clear in the chat was that I wasn't the only one annoyed by flooding of chat (and that is a definite attempt to disrupt service, a clear violation of the TOS) since anyone who's ever been a frequenter of the chatroom knows that such things can cause it to lockup. Although it resets every hour, it doesn't always recover from a flood instigated lockup and requires a manual reset by one of the staff (something Rcook used to have to do alot..and the reason he's banned many members for flooding it). Once again, I make no secret that I insulted otsego...but even though it was provoked, if there's any repercussions to be persued, a warning letter is what the TOS would call for. Attempting to disrupt chat, and participating in the practice of warez, and failure to report known activity of such warez, is a violation of the zero tolerance and involved MORE than a letter of warning. That is what I and others have read Otsego to be in the act of doing in the locked thread below this one.

i didnt lock the thread, and i didnt post only what i wanted the admins to see, everytime the chat resets sometimes it doesnt log me back to it so i have to refresh, that was the reason why i could post the entire log, and i posted that thread yesterday after that i didnt log back on till this morning and thats when i found out i was banned then i try to log on but i would let me so i had to delet the cookies and try to log on as backwards_insideofme, and thats when i saw that the first thread was locked, i didnt locked it i dont even know how to lock a thread....and once more ed i did say i typed lyrics in the chat, but not that much, and i've been doing it for some time and havent got banned or not even a warning about it.....and i wasnt saying that you where the one hacking the chat but on my log this apperd and on yours it didnt: Diamonicus says: I'll give you a light sabre string was: SAY|Diamonicus|I'll give you a light sabre exception: null string Mtncub says: Oo OOo OO!! and i will say it one more time, i did type lyrics and i read the TOS and theres no posting on flooding.....and one more time if it is disrupting i'm sorry but i didnt see that in the TOS...

"Flooding" chat, means to create a series of spam mesages/logins/logouts/etc. These things can cause the room to crash. As for "locking" the thread, ots, that was the admins. They locked it for obvious reasons. And, as for my quotes above, which you obviously feel I need to justify, I will say this: Those quotes are accurate as they stand. The log you posted WAS edited, and does suggest warezing. I've also noticed, for what it's worth, that you DO tend to get a bit raunchy in chat. I'm not gonna go into detail on things, because, as an adult, I prefer to ignore your tendency to be, for lack of a better term, abrasive. I figure you're a young girl and you'll grow up sooner or later, and in the mean time, it does me little harm to share a site with you. But I would recommend that if you intend to pick fights with others, first consider your own actions, and ware the repercussions. Paul

Oh, and as for my friend, Mr Ed, I've found him to be nothing but helpful to most people who cross his path. I'm certainly not sorry he's not a lapdog, rolling over to take the crap OTS or anyone else hands out to him, cuz he's still around being helpful. What goes around comes around... Oh jeez! - if this happened everytime someone got a little rubbed up in chat, the forums would be flooded with "Yes you did" - "No I didn't"...
