Where can I download more brushes and plug-ins for PS? Everywhere I've looked in a search have been for sale, at big prices. My PS7 does not have any round brushes. Granted, I'm very new with the program so if I'm missing out on how to create or get new add-ins, someone please clue me in! S Email me with any responses please. aoverton@charter.net Thanks Ari

How do I make an image look like glass, crystal or polished metal? I'm a newbie to this program and finding it hard to find any tutorials or mentors that make sense.

Hmmmm, i'm curious as to why you don't have round brushes with PS7 being it the most common brush? Click on the brush tool in the tools palette on left side. Right click on your image. Click on the triangle in circle top right of that window. Select Reset Brushes. There should be round brushes (sharp and fuzzy). You can use that menu to append any other brush sets from the bottom of that list. There are a lot of sites for PS6 brushes but can be used in PS7 as well (a few listed below). You can also make your own brushes as needed.

brush sets for Photoshop
deepspaceweb brushes
hair brushes

I've found if you aren't paying attention when you go to the additional brush sets and don't tell PS to "append" the new brushes to the set, you lose sight of the default brushes. Even though it makes for a BIG list, it's always better to append to the set than replace...

lol ain't that the truth ... gotta love scrolling and scolling through all the brushes looking for that one brush you want to use. Reset brushes first then append as many brush sets as you want or can stand lol.

Your handbook should explain how to create/modify brushs.

What I found was worse... When I loaded Photoshop7, I clicked the button that asked if I wanted to load all my Photoshop6 plug-ins. Yesterday I noticed that I have plug-in duplicates of several of my most used plug-ins (ie: I have the same plug-in listed twice in the pull-down menu) The crazy part is that it duplicated randomly. I think I can just delete the doppelganger files which will should care of that problem. Hopefully the photoshop6 plug-ins that transfered will not disappear when I finally delete potoshop6, (ie: I hope they are not just shortcuts from photoshop6) I suppose the key word for the day is Back-up my photoshop6 plug-ins folder :)

Had to say a quick thank you for the link to your site dwmdesigner. Great tutorial on water :) I have bookmarked your site and will check back often for more tutorials. ladynimue

ladynimue? That happened to me too sooooo I created a extra folder of all the plug-ins from PS6 minus the plug-ins that came with PS6 (leaving just the plug-ins that I personally added to v6) and directed the link from PS7 to the new folder. What was happening was any plug-in that was the same in v6 and v7 was duplicated on list. That also applies to any plug-in you installed on v7 that was also in v6 plug-ins folder.

Thanks for the kids words "ladynimue" I plan on more Tutorials when I have "Spare Time". This question is for everyone, What tutorials would you like to see that are not already out there? Dwmdesigner

I visited about.com looking for PhotoShop stuff. That site has degenerated into something far worse than a warez site. There were so many blasted popup and popunder screens! Jeepers, those guys should be ashamed of themselves. And to think I used to recommend them.
