It sounds like they were not installed properly. I assume that you used the DAZ installer since these are DAZ products? It almost always works correctly. If it flubs the "easy install", do it manually, noting from the "custom install" where each file ought to go once extracted. If all else fails, email DAZ's tech support. Carolly

thank you for your response. I use Pinstall to install them they are in zip format.

I just thought of something else... are your mermaids the original models with full geometry, or are they new MAT files (poses and texture maps) which will only reference files if they already exist in the right places in your Runtime directory. You can download a lot of real nice textures, but they need an object to cover: sort of like paint needs to be applied to a surface to do any good, otherwise it is merely a label on a can. Carolly

When you unzip it, you should get 2 files: a Vise installer and a readme. There is no need for another installer if these are from DAZ, because all of their products come packaged to install properly. You use "mermaids" in the plural. Are you sure that these are from DAZ? They did a mer-family quite a while back, now reduced in price, and have offered some new ones based upon Victoria and her younger self. However, dcort has also done mermaids, in the plural, of various sorts (1- and 2-tailed). His would be zipped, whereas ones from DAZ are .exe or .sit in compressed format. Carolly

If you're having trouble with any of my mermaids, drop me a line and I'll try to help. I just uploaded a new free mermaid, Undine Lite, to my website, but some people have been having trouble downloading her.

Princevlad, I sent you an e-mail about this. - Dan

And the e-mail just bounced back to me. Could you be a little more specific? Which mermaid are you having a problem with? You can e-mail me at dac@dacort.com if that's easier.
