Subject: How do you "unconform" a figure?

I probably should know this, but how do you unconform a figure after you've conformed it to a body part (without deleting it completely)?

My idea of rebooting is kicking somebody in the butt twice!

Simply conform it to 'no figure' or what it sound like in english. :-) Robert

You can also use restore figure. this restore back to it's zero state or as if it's is just loaded in.

Well this is what I want/need to do...it's a hair figure meant to be used on another character. When I bring it into Poser, I've tried to position it without conforming it to the character (this is almost impossible to do). If I conform it first, I can't reposition it (I have to make it larger to fit, but then I can't adjust it correctly). Does this make sense? Maybe it's impossible to do. :-(

On hair, This is would I do. I first set the character I want the hair on the zero state and have it selected. Second, I add the hair figure. then I pose the whole figure with hair.

Hmmm, that makes sense thebert...I'll give it a shot, thanks.

Just a reminder. You will lose any morph and pose setting. So you may want to save any setting you can before and this one. But it something I do now, everytime I start a new scene. First add character then add the hair before I move or change anything.

Try just posing the hair Rockets....with the figure in default pose (or any pose) hit a pose dot, then select the hair and hit the pose dot again, the hair should now act like its conformed but still be movable......Steve

Just thought of something while reading all this. I couldn't figure out how to unparent a prop. I figured you could just parent it to the "Univerce". I think I ended up parenting it to the ground just to get it off a figure.

You did better than me, Lynn. I couldn't get it parented to the ground, either, and ended up deleting it. I just wanted to take off my coat and toss it on the floor; that shouldn't be such a big deal, should it? (The coat was parented as well as conformed so that the figure's scaling would carry over.)
