ok i got the 4.03 version running on the following spec p4 1.6ghz 512 mb rambus rimms at 800 mhz intel 850 chipset win2k pro 64 mb mx400 vid card here's my problem whenever i render i get a big blue bar appear on my left hand side of the screen render seems ok.... but is annoying as hell just upgraded from athlon 1.333 ghz with 256 of rdram same o/s and vid card and i had no probs anyone else had this yet?

I had a simular problem recently. Let me ask you, do you have the title bars of your windows blue? Mine was red and it was the same as my title bars. My fix was simply re-booting the PC and everything cleared up. This happened immediatly after upgrading Poser.

cheer, ya made me a happy man, now i just got to figure out why the hell everytime i try to apply patch for pro pack it tells me my poser serial number is invalid, wasnt invalid when i installed it or the pro pack grrrr.. i hate upgrades

heh, that was handled on the CL site. essentially don't let it search for the copy of poser to install to, specify it yourself. I had that same problem trying to let it do it's own search. Telling it no and specifying the copy on my own allowed it to install fine.
