My vote goes pmermino, exellent and realistic fire scene.

This was a tough challenge, working with explosions and fire can be hard, I really enjoy all the pictures and my hat is off to all the artist for doing a spectacular job. I am a little partial to black and white pictures and I just loved koncz's piece. So, although I would like to vote for all, koncz gets my vote. Sharen

Very difficult to choose among a lot of good pictures. I know it's always difficult to do a scene, judging a work is hard. First I have selected some pictures I prefered ; it was koncz (nice grey image, and a touch of color), audity an pmermino (wood fire), and peggy walters (blacksmith, nice scene and original idea). At the end, my choice go to Eric (Audity), maybe cause his fire image looks a little more realistic... Yves

It was the hardest time since I vote here.. There are so many great pics. my vote will be for Audity. very realistic fire. regards Myske

First off, I want to say that everybody did a fantastic job with the theme I picked. I always had a hard time doing fire and learned a lot just by looking at how you all applied fire to your scene. They all are great and it is incredibly difficult to choose.

That being said, I have to vote for pmermino's forest fire. It is absolutely amazing. He managed to capture that ever so elusive 'dancing' and free flowing fire I have been trying to create myself. :)

I like all the entries this month. The picture I like the most is by stamate_filip.

All are great, three were super... but went with LrdSatyr8 -1 for the great explosion... and I'm a space fanatic ~G~ 1

My vote goes to stamate_filip. Wonderful pic. Subtle and effective use of fire.

I vote pmermino also.

It's very difficult to chose a picture this month; and after a long time to think...my vote is for Audity's picture; he have make (for me naturally...)some great's fire's effects. Cheers. Georges. :)

Well... I better cast my vote... not wanting to vote for my own, it was a very tough choice. Everyone did such a wonderful job. Audity had wonderful effects, and the grey scale B/W work from Koncz was excellent, but for originality, I'd have to cast my vote for Doro. Something completely original and stylistic. Comepletely unexpected. Good work Doro!

scifiguy ( ) posted Thu, 30 May 2002 at 10:31 PM

Great work everyone. I just attempted to do fire myself...I ended up cheating and used some postwork to clean it up :) I vote for pmermino's pic.

haegerst ( ) posted Fri, 31 May 2002 at 2:09 AM

This is really hard to decide. All works look good, there is no one I really dont like. My vote goes to pmermino, because he showed me that what good lighting can do.

My vote goes pmermino, exellent and realistic fire scene. I liked the look of melting items in the scene and the realism of the entire setting.

Rynn ( ) posted Sat, 01 June 2002 at 1:41 AM

I'm voting for pmermino. But there where so many good entries, so it was hard to choose.

Hi all. My vote goes to audity.

Bop ( ) posted Sat, 01 June 2002 at 7:38 PM

After long hesitating, I call the help of my personal jury (my wife !) and we dscussed a long time, except that this time, I was not alone to hesitate in front of my screen. Finally, even if the audity's picture was great, we choosed to vote for the pmermino'one. My personal preference, between these two pictures, was motivated by the fact that it was realeased with the "basic" vue Materials... A special mention to LordSatyr for his excellent picture, to Koncz (your picture was excellent too, but, for me, was not enough representating 'fire' or 'explosion'...) and to Peggy (for a very new to vue, it was a great first strike !!!)

Again very good challenge entries, but after a long period of thinking my vote goes to: pmermino :-) Bernie
