Hey- I try not to complain much, but I thought I throw this out for discussion (or whatever) I set my Renderosity background color to a light grey, as I find black text on a light background easier to read. Unfortunately, this makes some of the color combinations used in this and other forum heading rather difficult to read (see attached pic).) I know I can highlight the text to read it, but that sort of defeats the purpose of customizing the color to make it easy to read in the first place. Just something to thik about I guess. Regards- Lemurtek (not even going to mention those new emoticons! :)

I have to agree. Some of the forum headings are designed very well, while others are not. My tiny complaint has to do with some of the font colors and combinations - especially neon colors. Very bright colors tend to hurt my eyes, which is why I prefer light grey or white text against a black background.

Ooooppppss! LOL! My bad. I keep forgetting the whole world doesn't use a balck background, like me! Hum. What can I do that will show up on black and white, but not look like an eyesore? Maybe if it isn't set to any color, it will use your defaults? I'll try it, you can check it.

you'll prolly have an easier time reading the white text and neon ones on a black background, judging from the retina burning i just got form this screen shot... like politics, you gotta choose the lesser of two evils i guess.

I find I get less eyestrain reading white text on black. I just removed the color tags so it defaults to user settings. Look batter?

Thanks Micheleh, looks much better! For some reason, I find white text on black hard on my eyes, at least for long text messages (what are are the odds of finding any long text messages on Renderosity? :) Regards- Lemurtek

The multicolored writing on the header of the OT Forum can cause eye-strain reading it. I can read white on black easily.

i think the intent is that initially, when a message is first put up in the headers there, they are bright and abnoxious so that attention is brought to the message. once the message gets old, shrinking and 'neutering' the font color is a good idea... either that or hand out sunglasses at the door grin i think we've neutered most of them. if you see others that we've forgotten just pop a mod an IM. thanks
