Sturkwurk and I are also supporting the contest with some prizes from our stores. Check out the full list of prizes over at Beyond Bent. I'll be adding a couple of extra prizes that aren't currently listed, too. You could pick up a LOT of cool stuff in this contest, so give it a shot.

Man oh man... I wish I had more practice with Poser. I'm a noob and just getting into it, but if I had even the slightest talent yet I would enter the contest. I've seen Beyond Bent's stuff and looooooooooove it. That's alright though, I've got patience. As long as you keep doing this contests I'll get in there sooner or later. :)
Friarblues: Practice makes perfect, don't hesitate one bit to enter the contest :-) LynnJonathan: None of my contests require a purchase, in fact there is a note saying that at the bottom of the rules :-) You can use anybody's stuff, free stuff, whatever you like. Ajax: Thanks for the reminder. Yes everybody, the prize pool just went up! Davo
Lynn, You can use anything you like. There are no advantages or disadvantages to using particular products or freebies as far as judging is concerned. Whatever you want to put in your pic is fine. friarblues, Enter anyway if you want. Sometimes we throw in a bonus item for every contestant. No guarantee that'll happen this time, but it might. On the other hand, sometimes the bonus items wind up as public freebies later on. No guarantee of that either ;->

Ya know, I've never read any of the John Carter novels. I only know a little about them from secondary references. However, I think Davo's reference is probably to Mars, the Roman god of war. The main gods of the Roman pantheon were each identified with a planet and share the names of the planets. Venus for love, Mars for war, Mercury the messenger, Neptune for the oceans etc.

That looks like a more likely spelling :-) I know OF the John Carter novels and the Barsoom character (sp?) but that's about it. When you say "Everything here is like the books", what do you mean by "here"? Entropic, you silly! Pluto was king of the underworld. It must have been hard to take him seriously looking at those floppy ears and that shiny nose, though. Maybe that's why the Romans laughed at death.

Oh. I you mean this contest has nothing to do with posing fruit to caricaturize the White House Press Corps mediating a dispute over the rights of insect minorities? Damn... gotta start over... Well... maybe I can just make the fruits kill each other... Take that banana man! Die Orange-head man! I'll see you in hell Apple guy! Hrm... Nah... better start over. Paul
That looks like a freudian slip there, Doug. Is there something you're trying to tell us about you and Mickey? Beryld, Like I said, I haven't read the books. So I wasn't sure what you meant. "Here" is a word that has a lot of possible interpretations in an online context.

oh you thilly boyth, thtoooop it! Heh heh, you guys crack me up. Leonard Gustav Holst (sp?) composed an entire masterpiece of music dedicated to the different Roman Gods assocaited with the planets, Mars was the bringer of War and is one of my favorite classical music pieces to listen to. In fact, I should have made it a requirement to listen to that song before you make your images for the contest. Davo

Hi everybody,Okay, it's that time again to give away all my stuff and all you have to do is make a picture.
This contest is called Mars: The Bringer of War, the theme is to create a grand, colossal image of military might. I think of grand parades, huge armies, giant war machines.... Yeah!
Think you can handle it? Well, give it a try. See all the details at www.beyondbent.com
Thanks, and GOOD LUCK!
