I used to live in Maine....until 1987. Did you have an Atari computer by chance? I used to attend some meetings outside of Portland.

I had an Atari 520ST, but I lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the time. I'm new to Maine, having moved here in 1999 to be with my highschool sweetie. (You can read that story at my web site if interested.) I'd never lived in Maine before. Heck, I was in Florida when we got together!Great story Ron :) You must be used to the weather by now.... I was in the Navy stationed at Brunswick NAS. My wife and I loved Maine, in fact, if it wasn't for work, would move back there in an instant. It's a very peaceful lifestyle out there...the scenery is fabulous, especially going up the coast, but just as remarkable inland...just a great place. I'm from the UP of Michigan, so Maine felt just like home to me...not many people, except when the snowbirds and tourists come back in the summer... I like it quiet :) Hey, my youngest graduates from high school in 2003...so who knows, maybe we'll move back out there. I'll look you up and we can start the Maine Poser/CG group. My brother lives in New Hampshire, my wife's sister is just outside Brunswick. I'm about your age, but will be lucky to retire until I hit 80 or so...the job is the only thing keeping us here in Wisconsin. We also lived in Rhode Island, and I was stationed outside Boston back in the late 60s, so New England is like a second home....really like it out there a lot.

Dodi and I re-connected via www.classmates.com. We agreed to a visit, and I flew up to Maine. It was love at first sight, again! I proposed on the 3rd night. We married in the Church where she is a minister. We met in Salisbury, New Hampshire. I was born in Vermont. Dodi lived most her life in New Hampshire. I moved to Minnesota in 1974, then to Florida in 1994. I swore never to return to the "Frozen North!" Hah! Dave-So: yes, we have a few things in common, or know some similar areas. I lived in Massachusetts for a few years, till the late 1950's, or early 1960's. I lived in Medford Mass. for a time. Then it was off to Ohio, then to New Hampshire. Dad's a minister, so we moved a lot. I came to Maine "for love," and the jobs are not so plentiful here. Yes, it is quiet! Hey, I worked at Envisionet in Brunswick till they went "chapter 11" and sold out. A few hundred of us MSN techs lost our jobs. Well, I need to get my butt off to work now! I'll talk to you later, ok? I'd love to meet with anyone who's in Maine, or coming out this way! I'd love to have a Poser Users Group! Ron

I got to thinking about this now that someone is planning a party "on the West Coast." I live in Maine, not far from Portland. We obviously have computer users here, but no "Computer User's Groups" anywhere nearby. I've been using Poser for over a year now, and have yet to run into anyone else who uses Poser. So it's possible there are no other Poser users in Maine. But hey, it's worth a try. One thing I'd love to see happen is a "Poser User's Group." In my younger years, I went to Computer User's Groups, and they were a wonderful resource. Of course it would just be nice to hang out with other Poser users. Ron
