Subject: Why not a forum supporting banned members ?

Hanvan ( ) posted Tue, 28 May 2002 at 8:44 AM · edited Tue, 03 December 2024 at 1:39 PM

_Had read old threads and all kinds of stuff about banning. Believe there's a systematic exclusion of any message and their authors trying to support banned or ex-members. I really believe, as many members, that banned members as well as their supporters should have the right to express free opinions without being banned themselves, which seem to be the reality of some "TOS"...There's a real strange "silence" about that, or some "blocked" threads when the thread seems to get interesting. Why ? I think that's why you had frequent questions from people who are asking whether or not the TOS has been "updated". I read on the news that "mysteries" are some of the favorites options of "dictatorships", instead of "democraties" about politics particularly and about US Govt. policies today but it sems that it can always happen in other domains (!!!???) can't it ?. Just want to know if Renderosity wants to keep things mysterious, or can openly let people talk, as long as it is not insulting to ask relevant or accurate questions like this one. Just it.?! _Am I too much "nosy", would I be to be banned just because I want to talk about this subject ? and should we be banned just because we are nosy ? In thius case, please just add to the TOS: "Those who want to know too much..." Thanks you !

I see the rightness of your typing of this and agree that maybe you understand just what is going on behind the scenes of the things that happen when stuff like this is happening to people here when the things that happens to people here happens and when it does the people who do stuff don't know about it because of the secret way that things and stuff become when the secret people who decide what things we can and can't see become evil and hypocritical because of their powers to be like evil Zionist conspiracy people who make things like this happen. I'm sure you understand exactly what I mean, and Please post many many more messages about it. Long messages would be good, too.

@Legume... I understood your post perfectly (and THAT scares me)... but now I have a headache from actually trying to think and it's all your fault! So there! Heike--looking for the Tylenol again :-)

"I really believe, as many members, that banned members as well as their supporters should have the right to express free opinions without being banned themselves" -Absolutely, couldn't agree with you more, seriously...really, stop laughing... "blocked" threads when the thread seems to get interesting. Why?" -Because the threads violates the TOS, can't get more specific than that, since I have no specific examples to go off of. TOS has been "updated". -It has. "as long as it is not insulting to ask relevant or accurate questions like this one" -That's the problem, a lot of times people don't do JUST that. They are too busy stating their vulgarities, threats, etc. I wish more people could just be calm and talk, as you are doing here. "Am I too much "nosy", would I be to be banned just because I want to talk about this subject" -Nope. These are subjects that I think members can take a little personally (it IS a community of artists). Whichever subject comes up...people get very...passionate, and the battle insues, lol. Oh, and please clearly state your full, real name into your coffee mug, `cause the men at your door would like to..."talk" to you. AgentSmith (Bryce Forum Mod)

AgentSmith, the other thread related to this one was developing some very cool possibilities for renders on that new machine of yours :)

Racist rants, garbled, wild-eyed raving, spewing insults and accusations in every direction, not to mention being banned about 8 times so far and STILL coming back as a clone yet again. And that's just in the last month or so! Yep, he's a real model citizen.snicker

Posting awkward questions in a coherent, respectful manner - no problema. Clone accounts of banned members - big problema. BTW: If you're in the Southern Hemisphere, skinny-dipping in December isn't so bad.

why not take this suggestion one step further & add a forum FOR banned members just so they won't feel left out ;-)
