Does anyone know if there is a converter that can convert a .ply file to a .obj file? Dwmdesigner

.ply? what app makes .ply? what os uses it? can't export to 3ds or dxf? then the options become much easier and greater.

I found a website for a 3D scanning system that offers Free 3D files but they are in .ply format, I have never heard of it. My guess is that it is only compatable with their system. Dwmdesigner

It is a text based polygon file format. I don't know of any programs that use it however. If you look on google, you can find a description of the format, and a piece of software called Ply Tools. I don't know what the software runs on, nor what it does.
