Do any exist or does any one know of a voice synth prog that i can type in some text and hear it spoken back to me. I`m shure that these ewxist and that they will have moved on somewhat from the Prof. S. Hawkin Style.

The Microsoft Voice SDK will let you create text to speech as well as the L&H Speech engine. I think there is a total of 6 different voices you can use. These 2 engines are what MS agent uses if you are familar with the technolgy at all. They can both be downloaded for free. I'd list the link, but right now I can't find it.. I'll list it when I find it. Ed

Hey Ed, Tried to find the site at Mircosoft and got completely lost. Couldn't find it at all. Is that the correct name? Let me know when you find the address. Thanks butch

Here's the links for the text to speech sdks this one will take you to the msagent site where you need to scroll down to the speech engines and dl the L&H speech engine http://msdn.microsoft.com/workshop/imedia/agent/agentdl.asp this is the microsoft site for the SDK 4.0.. dl the sdk or you won't get the sample programs to make text to speech wavs http://www.microsoft.com/IIT/speech/speechdepot.htm Hope these help Ed
