Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 04 12:42 pm)
Well, I've got another question for ya, How do get my renders to look more cartoonish? like coloring and what not.
Also, what programs are good for making a landscape or setting. I'm using Bryce 5 now, but it doesn't work well with some characters i've made. The textures get all messed up when i import them from poser. Or is there something i can do to stop this from happening?
And finaly, one more question.... where do i learn more about making my own clothes and props? Thanks!
There is a method to get the textures to work in Bryce. You have to rotate them on one axis, but I can never remember which direction. I rarely import Poser figures into Bryce; it's too complicated. Many people have had excellent results doing it, though. The colors always look washed out to me. I usually use Nerd's backdrop prop in Poser and project a background image on that, then render directly in Poser. It gives pretty realistic results. Nerd's backdrop prop can be found in the MarketPlace, I believe. I've had it so long, I've forgotten where I bought it. However, Runtime DNA has the Infinity Cove, which is the same thing as Nerd's backdrop prop and it's free at their site. If I'm not mistaken, I believe Bloodsong also has a similar prop at 3D Menagerie. I apologize for not having the links for them here. Check the Top 15 on the sidebar. Maybe they're in there. Melanie
I haven't heard of anyone doing "cartoonish" in Bryce...but maybe it is doable? Poser can be imported but only with a LOT of work but sometimes it is worth the effort (my gallery here has some Poser-to-Bryce renders, but I'm just a hobbiest mind-you). Aside from Bryce; Poser does have the Scetch Render, I haven't played much with it. There are however some great Sample presets in Free-Stuff and a few just showed up at RuntimeDNA.

I'm just learning how to use poser and i've gotten pretty good at using poser figures and importing them into bryce. I've made some pretty good renders so far, and i'll possible be posting some in the future.
I've downloaded a bunch of free textures and figures, but i haven't found any good hair props or figures. Does anyone know where I can find some free ones that are pretty good?
Also, If anyone has any suggestions on kool clothing or figures i'd be thankfull.
Thanks
Peace!
