Subject: how to show cascading water?

lswatts ( ) posted Fri, 07 June 2002 at 4:54 AM ยท edited Wed, 15 January 2025 at 2:03 AM

I just bought the program. I need to create water cascading from one pool to another. Anyone have any ideas?

Also I need to create a field of trees a certain distance from the pools. How can I measure the distance in VDE4?

thanks

Larry

Hello Larry and welcome here. Have a look at the waterfall tutorial. This might give you the idea. You can create distant forest in Vue (to see from far). There is already a usable (faked)forest in the Vue objects. Otherwise, you can use the scatter objects feature from the EDIT menu to multiplicate trees. Maybe another user has a better idea? You can not "measure" distances in Vue, except in basing your placements in using the grid. If you just bought the program, you may first learn it in doing things. It is an easy to handle program and you will love it. If you need further help, please come back. ![emoticons](http://www.renderosity.com/~carrara/emoticons/)
