Hello, Yesterday I had transferred the exclusive grant of The Tailor from Renderosity to DAZ-3D. I have nothing to complain about the service at Renderosity and I hope to have soon new products to sell via their store. It is just business. The cut at Renderosity (70% for software, exclusive or not) are more convenient than at Daz (50% only for exlusive items) but there I have a better exposure. The Tailor is the best companion of clothing products, and if he is well-publicized it can increase also the sell of other products. Now that DAZ has the exclusive grant they can use The Tailor like they need and make the synergy with other products (see the above picture from the store at DAZ). Moreover, they take care of the marketing of the product, freeing me of this work. I am a good programmer but not a so good merchant. As I have promised, the update to version 1.1 is available free of charge to all previous buyers. Simply go to The Tailor page and download the updater in the link at the bottom of the page. You must have the version 1.03 installed to perform the update. The updater works only with version 1.03. If for any reasons you have bough a previous version and you had not got the update to V. 1.03 from Renderosity, please, contact me directly. The Tailor was my only product in the Renderosity store and now that I have retired it, I have lost the access to my merchant account so I cannot use the automated e-mail to inform all my previous customers of the changes. This forum is the only way I have to contact them. Please, pass the information about the update to all you think can need it.

The Tailor 1.1 has many new features, as example:

  1. Complete support for Full Body Morphs
Now you can select a FBM directly in the tree view and an analogous FBM
    is created in the clothes.

  2. Support for alternate geometries in bodies and clothes.
As example Michael's genitalia and some Anton Kisiel clothes.

  3. Support for geometries with invalid declaration of normals.
As example some items in Vicky Clothing Pak 1.

  4. New "Morphs" menu with the following functions
Body - Set dials as in Cr2
Body - Reset all dials to 0
Body - Select all non zero morphs
Dress - Set dials as in Cr2
Dress - Reset all dials to 0
Dress - Set dials of new morphs as in body

  5. Now you can save the dress with a non zero value for dials of new morphs.

  6. More precise and faster transmorph algorithm, especially in transfering
    FBM

I hope you will like this new version and sorry for the inconvenience of the change of store.
Have fun with The Tailor.
Bye,
CodeTwister

Hey CodeTwister, how about a Mac version? Every morph pack seems to be cancelled and I really cant see the default Michael any longer:-) Sascha

It sounds like you have good reasons to move to DAZ3D I must say I buy more at Renderosity than I do at DAZ. It just seems I can find more quantity, of value, for less money here. I would have preferred some sort of advanced notice of your move. I heard about it "through the grapevine," rather than in a post from you. I find that rather upsetting since you'd promised to earnestly stay in touch when you released The Tailor. I appreciate the fact that you allow us a free update, but then you had promised that anyway. It wouldn't be good to go back on that promise just because DAZ offered you a better deal. Personally I prefer a totally new version rather than an updater. Now I need to keep "2 copies" of the program around. I need to assemble both parts and put them on my next backup CD. I do wish you all the best The Tailor is one of my "must have" programs, and I continue to "do my bit" in helping your sales whenever the topic arises. Heck, I even made a Tailor Tutorial!

The Tailor was my only product in the Renderosity store and now that I have retired it, I have lost the access to my merchant account so I cannot use the automated e-mail to inform all my previous customers of the changes.>> This worries me. When you release a second version of the software how can your old customers like me benefit for a special upgrade offer if you cannot identify us? I bought it from Renderosity when it was first released. Renderosity should supply you a list with e-mails of all the people that bought it. It should be passed on to DAZ.

CodeTwister thanks for the notice. The Tailor is a wonderful program and I wanted to thank you for making it available for people to buy. It's to bad you lost access to your automated e-mail. Perhaps Renderosity will rethink this to better serve it's customers in the future. Your program is still awesome any way I can get it. Thanks! :)
