I'm all in favor! :) I like seeing lots of women, but also like to see men (no comments). ;) This is the reason I'm working on a "replacement" for Still to Real: to take hi-res photos and create texture maps (and bump maps and transparencies, hopefully) for M2 and V2, especially M2 since there are few that would work with the type of figures that I want to model. There is some great male art here, and thanks to those loyal followers. Maybe it's time you all started clicking something besides tits and ass. I think I'm missing something. I'm one of the few artists who have been posting male images here on Renderosity for some time. There are over 70 pictures in my gallery, most of them are males. Considering the work of other artists working with males, there are hundreds of male pictures in the galleries. And still I can read from time to time some comments on some artist's work, usualy doing a male pin up just for a change, in style with: "Oh my God, there ARE some pictures with scantilly clad males here on Rosity, I can't believe my eyes, it was right on time to show some men here, etc, etc..." These people are usually not commenting my work, and probably not the other artists' with mainly male pics either. There is only minority of us, posting male pin-ups, but if you make search for all the pics with Mike or Dork, you'll find out that it's actually not so horribly bad. I surely don't think men are ugly. That was the silliest thing I have heard. I'm gay, so for me it's pretty natural to work with Michael. But just for the fact I'm gay, I'm not avoiding working with Vicki or Steph. So why there is such a fear for using Michael in a picture? I can't agree that the huge amount of Vicki stuff is caused by men making pictures for straight male viewers. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in my opinion the biggest part of Vicki users are straight females. Why? I don't know. Why aren't they using Michael more? I don't know either. I have heard some comments from girls about male body, used in 3D, beeing too strange, unknown, different, unromantic, etc. Could this be the reason? Again - I have no idea. Ok - let's have some male pin-up contest... June is a perfect month for such kind of fun! :)

Hi Vapo! I was just about to point out that every month is male pinup month for Vapo-- and wonderful pinups they are too! The cutest guys! Strong, angular and . . . Funny! Not Male Bimbos. I got into this to do Michael stuff too. The lack of interesting clothing for Mike held me back at first. I like a bit of tease and can't paint clothing and drapes. I'd pay big bucks for that Wusamah brief for Mike--with the appropriate morphs. Hint, hint. But, you know, now there's tons of interesting Mike characters and flashy armor that you can put on in parts, there's no excuse anymore. It will be a happy day for me when someone puts out a big Michael underwear pack-- with transparencies-- like the three wardrobes full of bikinis and thongs that the goils have. Maybe some more attention to this half forgotten figure (yes, I'm still talking about Mike) would help a little. Let's start rendering our contributions for the contest now... So far, we can make Michael more or less scantilly clad. Honestly, I prefer him this way... ;)

heyas; sorry, i didn't mean to insult all the artists with nude male work. i really don't visit the galleries that often just to browse, but i do follow some peoples' work, who specialize in male nudes. i'll be checking you all out. (your work, i mean, i'll be checking your work out!) but as i recall, having 'male pinup month' gives other artists the opportunity/excuse/idea to try their hand at it. i usually do male nudes, but i've been side-tracked messing with my new stephanie character.

thanks to cherokee for direting me to this thread... i've been on vacation, so i'm pretty unaware of whats been happening here. anyway, i've no problem with rendering males. thats what i do. thats what i specialise it. but its really cool to know that, though, unofficial mike gets the spotlight even for this month. loyal "mikesters" aside, i guess other people should try and play with their "mikes" every now and then and not just because its male pinup month. i think artists should be versatile enough to try out new grounds once in a while. in the meantime, ill go work on some new male pinups...after i get some much needed rest from my trip, that is. :)
